we cleaned rita's house and walked home. foreigners are so privelegded here. we can walk through gated and guarded neighborhoods wherever we like. it was an amazing walk. it felt like florida in it's decor through embassy land. it was so quiet. only the leaves were laughing. and the sky was lit by the clouds reflecting the city. in feeling so blessed, we felt we should take advantage of these private arteries we strolled through so rita and i were re-enacting musicals. and then falling silent again. silent beijing. so rare. it was a very cool walk home.
