on january 1, 2000, about a half hour after all the counting down subsided, i crawled into an empty hot spring, lay with my arms stretched wide to saturn, and sailed on slow motion satellite throughout the universe until starlight was devoured by sun. it was the only way i could possibly enter a millenium intact.
